Get Interactive with This Living Performance of The Masque of the Red Death

The Masque of the Red Death is a short story by Edgar Allan Poe that follows Prince Prospero's attempts to avoid a dangerous plague, known as the Red Death, by hiding in his abbey. He hosts a masquerade ball within seven rooms of the abbey, each decorated with a different color. In the midst of their revelry, a mysterious figure disguised as a Red Death victim enters and makes his way through each of the rooms.

What happens when this unwelcome guest begins to disturb the festivities? Come wonder through the castle to find out!

Engage in the active narrative of the story as it unfolds in each room. A combination of narration, acting, and dance, you're invited to enjoy this innovative dance performance. Audience members will encounter a new piece of the haunting story as it unfolds in each of six rooms.
