Hundreds of women, fluent in multiple languages, served within the U.S. Army Signal Corps during World War I. Known as the “Hello Girls,” they played a pivotal role in wartime communication, and now you can hear their inspiring story! Presented by Elizabeth Cobbs, author of the fascinating book The Hello Girls: America’s First Women Soldiers, this discussion celebrates Women’s History Month, which coincides with the 100th anniversary of the overseas deployment of the Signal Corps Female Telephone Operators Unit.
