Give Back to Nature through the Holiday Tree Recycling Program

Go green this holiday season by recycling your holiday tree! There’s no better way to give the gift of a cleaner tomorrow than by taking part in the Overland Park tree recycling initiative. You can make Kansas a greener place by recycling your tree following the holidays!

Each year, Overland Park allows residents to drop off their holiday trees during daylight hours at Young’s Park, Quivira Park, the Overland Park Arboretum, or the Indian Creek Recreation Center. Your tree will get a second life as mulch that will help nurture trees in city parks all around the community. This enriching community tradition creates a fresh and long-lasting impact on our natural surroundings, so do your part and join in the progress! Just make sure to remove all lights, tinsel, ornaments, presents, and tree stands before dropping off your tree!

At Mission 106 Apartments in Leawood, Kansas, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to an exceptional lifestyle.
